Message from the Director's desk

"It is with a sense of great pleasure and pride that Gyan Bharati Academy, Tezpur has added another feather on its cap by launching its Website.  We have sailed for thirteen years now, and will continue to sail ahead to accomplish all our big dreams. Our children are our greatest blessings. Our objective is to make our children examples of quality citizens, who can maintain their lives with differences.

What makes people smart, curious, alert, observant, competent, confident, resourceful, persistent – in the broadcast and best sense, intelligent – is not having access to more and more learning places, resources and specialists, but being able in their lives to do a wide variety of productive things that matters, things that challenge their ingenuity, skill, and judgment, and that make an obvious difference in their lives and the lives of the people around them.

A School is like a garden. Gardeners know, they cannot make the plants grow. Plants grow themselves. But gardeners create the right conditions to grow. Teaching is like gardening. Provide the best conditions for growth, you will see an abundant harvest of talent, commitment, imagination and creativity in your kids.

Sincere prayer to the God to bless us all for peace and bliss ahead."

Message from the Principal's desk

"Founded in 2001, Gyan Bharati Academy, Tezpur has been at the forefront of secondary education in this beautiful city of rocks and hills.  We are proud to be the guardians of this spirit of achievement and our aim today is to develop it even further. We provide a quality state education ensuring that every student of this school has the best possible chance to develop his/her talent and to achieve success in a way that provides him/her with a purposeful and rewarding future life.

We expect and demand high standards of endeavour and achievement, reinforcing this with thorough programmes of health education covering the skills of social responsibility, self-discipline and self-reliance that students need as they progress towards adult life. Our goal is to produce creative, well-qualified and confident students, who understand the rights and responsibilities of good citizenship in a modern society.

Allowing children to learn about what interests them is good, but helping them do it in a meaningful, rigorous way is better. Freedom and choice are good, but a life steeped in thinking, learning and doing is better. It’s not enough to say, ‘Go, do whatever you like.’ To help children become skilled thinkers and learners, to help them become people who make and do, we need a life centered around those experiences. We need to exemplify them how to accomplish the things they want to do. We need to prepare them to make the life they want.

The breadth of our programmes allows students to explore their academic, sporting, cultural and personal potential. If we can assist our students to turn that potential into reality, then we are succeeding in our vision to make every student “be the best that you can be”.

Message from the Vice-Principal's desk

"I feel extremely privileged to be given the opportunity to officiate as the Vice Principal of Gyan Bharati Academy. Teaching has been a tremendously satisfying experience for me in my 14 year career. I believe that learning is an everlasting process and every single day teaches you something new and interesting.

I would like to quote Mark Twain here, “Education is what remains with you even after you have forgotten everything that you learned in school." At DRAM we act as catalysts to invigorate and stimulate the innate curiosity every child is blessed with.

Education, for us, is exploration- exploration of the unknown, unseen and the unheard. The teacher is a guide who takes the students through this wonderful expedition. Our teachers have always been willing to walk that ‘extra mile’ in nurturing each child. Building teacher-student relationships is one of our core values.

I believe my goal as a Vice Principal is to facilitate the evolution of every child by the acquisition of different skills like team work, discipline, leadership qualities and most important, the will to accept failures and strive for success.

I look forward to a great journey together!"

Ms. Munmun Bora
